Manufacturing Intern
About the Role
Mattson Technology is looking for a Manufacturing Intern to join the Manufacturing Engineering team. The internship opportunity will provide students with hands on experience working with industry professionals. In this role you will be working on the manufacturing engineering team in the transition of new products to production. Assignments include process mapping, tooling design and test development. You will gain knowledge in semiconductor capital equipment, learn how complex manufacturing is accomplished in a clean environment and gain understanding what it takes to bring a new product to market.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work with various manufacturing teams to provide support in carrying out operations and processes
- Support a variety of manufacturing actives
- Review current processes and/or procedures making recommendations on manufacturability improvements
- Various assignments including but not limited to process mapping, tooling design and test development
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements:
- Currently enrolled as a full-time undergraduate, master’s or PhD student in the following areas of study: Mechanical, Industrial, Chemical, Systems or closely related field of study
- Confident, quick decision maker, who works well in a team environment
- Great communicator and excellent writing skills
