IT Specialist - Delano, CA

We are looking for an experienced and professional Administrative Assistant to join our fast-paced and growing IT department. Our ideal candidate will be energetic, flexible, have experience with problem-solving and have the ability to meet urgent deadlines while maintaining accuracy. This is a professional office atmosphere where teamwork is a must.
Here's what you'll do:
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Manage incoming calls from our 800#, and be first line support to our users. Depending on complexity of the issue, resolve or divert a ticket to a second line of support located in other Wonderful sites.
  • Manage incoming chat sessions from our Customer Portal, and be first line of support to our users. Depending on complexity of the issue, resolve or divert a ticket to a second line of support located in other Wonderful sites.
  • Manage Ticketing Software (Cherwell experience a plus) queues for incoming tickets generated from email or our Customer Portal. Resolve those tickets categorized as Tier 1, divert Tickets to a second line of support, or alert Tier 3 / Management if a trend is detected or a critical system is down.
  • Be able to promote and educate our users on best Information Security practices to maintain our network secure from internal and external threats.
  • Install and troubleshoot software - antivirus, firewall, Anti-Spyware, Office365 Apps, etc...
  • Information System Hardware troubleshooting.
  • Operating Systems Reloads, Computer Imaging.
  • Install and configure software based on the information systems policies and procedures.
  • Assist with Network Administration including: New user setup and removal, active directory moves, adds & changes, windows general troubleshooting.
  • Printer Support -- Driver installs, remote troubleshooting, printer queue management.
  • iPhone / Android User support (MFA, Password management, setups)
  • Backup for General Telephones including:
  • Telephone/Voice Mail new user setup & training.
  • Telephone/Voice Mail general troubleshooting.
  • Possess a high sense of urgency and take ownership of issues
  • Ability to document processes and procedures
  • Communicate regularly and effectively with employees and visitors
  • Coordinate and work with IT vendors and suppliers
  • Knowledge of basic computer troubleshooting
  • Knowledge of both Windows and Mac OS
  • Strong ability to diagnose, troubleshoot and resolve or escalate tickets utilizing provided knowledge base, other internal documentation, and accumulated industry knowledge.

WORK SCHEDULE:
  • Flexible schedule (Longer shifts during peak production may be required).
  • 40+ hour a week shift
Here's what you'll bring to the table:
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
  • High school diploma with a minimum of two years of relevant experience or Associate degree;
  • Proficiency in PC applications such as Word, Excel and PowerPoint;
  • Ability to manage multiple competing priorities;
  • Strong interpersonal skills;
  • Highly organized;
  • Able to work with employ Experience with MS-Office products (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
  • Basic understanding of network infrastructure, Windows server environments and other mainstream IT concepts
  • Some experience coordinating, monitoring, and evaluating projects and activities is a plus
  • Previous experience working for a managed IT services provider is a plus
  • Must be able to interact and communicate with all levels of staff members in an effective manner, exhibiting tact, enthusiasm, and patience.
  • Must be able to be sensitive to cultural and bilingual issues.
