Head of Growth at VC-backed startup

In this job, you will:
  • Drive and be accountable for demand generation and growth strategy, execution and measurement of our marketing efforts across the full customer lifecycle
  • Establish acquisition, engagement, and retention KPIs. Build dashboards to track KPIs and report to company to ensure alignment
  • Analyze current marketing strategy and drive continual improvements in lead conversion rates, close rates, and funnel velocity
  • Think creatively about new ways to reach customers and increase relevance; execute high-velocity experiments to prove your hypotheses
  • Manage a small marketing team that executes organic and paid lead acquisition strategies (content, webinars, lead nurturing, referrals, partnerships, SEO)
  • Ensure all lead scoring and nurture programs are constantly monitored and optimized. Use analytics, customer data, and predictive scoring to identify high-growth customer segments
  • Analyze cohorts to understand users and their engagement through the marketing/sales funnel, and help evolve the product to fit their needs

What we are looking for:
  • At least 3-5 years of experience in growth or similar entrepreneurial role in high-velocity, experimentation growth culture 
  • You've owned KPIs and have been directly responsible for creating and executing plans to drive growth
  • Proven track record owning and managing pipeline generation, including managing campaigns from concept to ROI analysis
  • Very comfortable with continuously changing opportunities and priorities
  • Creative, high energy, innovative, proactive, and resourceful
  • Highly data-driven: clear understanding of data, analytics, metrics and statistics
  • Focus on customer experience, able to understand users’ behavior
  • Knowledge about both inbound and outbound marketing
  • Ability to collaborate with product & engineering team to drive product-led growth
  • Ability to manage third party vendor relationships
  • Comfortable working in a demanding, fast-paced early stage startup

Nice to have:
  • Experience with lead generation, capture, nurturing, tracking and reporting on conversions, and ROI 
  • Prior experience in education and working with parents/students
  • Technical (CS, EE, Math, Physics) or MBA degree
  • Exceptional writing skills for developing effective and crisp messaging
  • Knowledge of SEO factors and key algorithm updates
  • Hands-on experience with web analytics and A/B testing tools
  • Familiarity with SQL
