Management Analyst

Job Summary

Hobsons is growing and we are in need of a motivated and adaptable individual to support our executive leadership team as Management Analyst. As a consultant and implementer, the successful candidate will ensure streamlined activities within the organization based on the priorities of the CEO. The Management Analyst will handle day-to-day management of key projects to allow the CEO to focus on growing our business. This role provides exposure to all Hobsons executives as well as the C-suite of our parent company, DMGT. It also provides a unique opportunity to learn what it takes to effectively run a $100M+ SaaS business and gain knowledge of all functional areas including product, marketing, finance, sales and technology. The right candidate for the job will grow into the role of Chief of Staff within approximately 6-12 months and contribute to the long-term success of the company.

Essential Functions/Responsibilities
Serve as a point of connection between the office of the CEO, the leadership team, and the functional teams to ensure greater efficiency and alignment
•      Prioritize and manage any organization-wide initiatives
•      Prepare required briefing materials for the leadership team and CEO
•      Provide clear lines, cadence, and processes for upwards reporting
•      Report up to leadership team on key initiative progress by meeting with project leads on regular basis
•      As needed, fully focus attention on special projects required for larger business initiatives
•      As needed, provide project management support for any company wide events
Share best practices between functional and product teams
•      Assist with overall business initiative and establish repeatable processes (ex. Budget, KPI collections, communications, etc.)
•      Create cohesion amongst teams by offering “outside in perspective” to thorny problems
•      Improve engagement with the corporate vision
Help effectively manage senior executive team key priorities
•      Manage priorities for leadership team overall and assist in prioritization and execution of key executive initiatives
•      Raise pertinent issues as they arise across the organization
•      Serve as sounding board for both members of leadership team and reports to ensure effective communication and execution
•      Provide support and necessary data for strategic initiatives at company level
•      Assist in tactical tasks including drafting and execution of correspondence and coordination of meetings
•      Be willing to execute on a wide array of tactical/operational initiatives to ensure company events, strategic projects, and day-to-day “business as usual” continues uninterrupted

Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited 4-year institution required
  •  2+ years of experience preferred in a business analytics, operations, project management or consultative role
  • Ability to maintain high level of confidentiality to act in advisory capacity
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills with ability to keep communication open across all levels of organization 
  • High degree of flexibility and comfort with ambiguity to take on projects outside of set product and functional areas
  • Strong work ethic and highly organized
  • Strong ability to manage meetings and consistently follow up on decisions and action items
  • Ability to draw and communicate quantitative insights
  • Ability to solve issues and to escalate where needed
  • Ability to quickly ramp up on projects ranging across functions and themes
  • Strong experience with Microsoft Office Suite
  • Prior experience working in an Agile environment preferred
