High Performance Research & Development Consultant

Responsibilities

Primary Responsibilities:

• Evaluate and prioritize RDT&E and acquisition investments within the Defense and National Security domain
• Manipulate and analyze large structured and unstructured data sets
• Conduct research and due diligence on technology topics/domains
• Conduct threat and market assessments
• Support development of new capabilities to push client business objectives forward, grow revenues and protect market positioning
• Support disruptive concepts or programs that help client organizations advance their interests
• Develop compelling briefings and reports on the basis of data-intensive analyses
 

Qualifications

Qualifications:

• Degree in military science, national security, engineering, mathematics, computer science, statistics, economics, and/or business preferred
• Due diligence experience a plus
• Proficiency in MS Office Suite including expertise with Excel spreadsheet manipulation
• Prior experience should indicate an analytical mind and inclination for problem-solving
 
 
Expectations:

• Detail oriented
• Ability to work independently with limited oversight
• Is able to draw upon educational background and personal experience to offer innovative solutions to strategic problems
• Ability to interpret data and turn it into information which can offer ways to improve an organization
• Ability to travel
• Able to obtain a DoD security clearance
 
 

Additional Requirements

• Recent operational national security or DoD experience preferred
• Background in RDT&E (public or private sector) preferred
• Prior management consulting experience a plus
• Experience with advanced database, data-visualization, and/or big-data analysis software a plus (i.e. “R”, tableau, etc.)
