Machine Learning Research Scientist

Responsibilities

To create innovative solutions using Machine Learning (ML) technologies for various applications including cyber security, network design and optimization, decision making, knowledge representation, prediction. Applications include commercial and tactical networks, Internet-of-Things, edge devices, power grid systems, and 5G systems. We are looking for well knowledge and experienced engineer who is keen to involve in new initiative of AI and machine learning projects across various groups of companies. 
The ML Research Scientist is expected to be familiar with wider scope of knowledge and experiences on designing and implementing of ML algorithms to solve research problems for both government and commercial applications. Self-motivated individuals who have strong analytical and mathematical background to engage in new research in machine learning are desired.
The ML Research Scientist is responsible for understanding the business problems, identifying/applying right machine learning technologies to solve problems and involving in formulation and execution of technologies for both military and commercial deployment.
  • Understand the business problem, challenge of existing technologies and areas of application for ML technologies.
  • Identify and choose right machine learning technologies for solving problems and formulate ML recipes for development.
  • Develop required machine learning models or prototype applications applying formulated ML recipes and verify the problem/solution fit.
  • Engage in ML research in innovative applications of AI and machine learning technologies to advance state-of-the-art technologies.

Qualifications

Requires 5 to 8 years with BS/BA or 3 to 5 years with MS/MA or 0 to 2 years with PhD.
Preference:
  • M.S. with 5+ years of experience or Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Statistics, Math or related field.
  • Established record of research and publication in machine learning related fields.
  • Software development experience with MATLAB, C, C++, and familiarity with source control tools such as "git"
  • US. Citizen with a current security clearance of SECRET or above, or the ability to obtain a security clearance
