uLEAD Content & Community Lead


The Global Education & Leadership Foundation welcomes individuals with a bias for ethics, change making, and decisive action to join our uLEAD Online Platform team as a Content &. The position will give successful candidates immense opportunity to develop new product launches; oversee core components of our uLEAD product; and gain experience synthesizing feedback from various stakeholders. Candidates will collaborate with a young international team and will be able to contribute to the ongoing project in multiple ways.

The Global Education & Leadership Foundation (tGELF) is a non-profit that seeks to identify and nurture leadership skills in individuals who are rooted in the values of ethics and altruism with a bias for action. 

In the last decade, tGELF’s flagship school curriculum on ethical leadership and entrepreneurship has expanded from just six schools in India to over across 14 countries, now reaching more than 3 million students.

tGELF’s community of future leaders and change-makers have also undertaken numerous high impact projects that have collectively impacted the lives of over 500 million people and raised over $6.38 bn dollars in commitments from governments, philanthropists, corporations and multilaterals for the UN Sustainable Development Goals. Position Overview:


The Content Lead will be responsible for the generation and curation of content across our core platforms at tGELF. This is a writing as well as administration-intensive position. Familiarity with daily news sites and journalism practices are required, as well as an ability to write for a diverse set of audiences, whether it be students, young professionals, or senior executives. The Content Lead will connect our global community through newsletters, uLEAD’s content hub, online events and more.
We are a small but driven, hard-working, and entrepreneurial team excited to try new content ideas online. We are looking for team members to help us build an effective strategy to grow the The Global Education & Leadership Foundation as the premier platform for all things LEAD (Leadership, Ethics, Altruism, Decisive Action) with our global community of young leaders constantly in focus. The position has the potential for immense personal and professional growth for an ambitious candidate. 

Key responsibilities:


  • Pitching, researching, and writing content across our platforms;
  • Work with external stakeholders to create effective content for joint initiatives;
  • Regularly engage with our partners with periodic communications; 
  • Staying up to date on Indian and global development news and events, and publish regular updates on our platforms, namely the uLEAD LEAD Feed;
  • Stay up to date with all the activities being undertaken by tGELF and our platforms and create content to highlight our work and impact; 
  • Research and plan webinar series and other online events for our existing community and for new or interested individuals; 
  • Develop new methods to engage the community through various content pathways (newsletters; webinars; etc.)
  • Other tasks and assignments as directed by the community team;
  • Liaise with the marketing team to ensure cohesion of content across platforms

Required Qualifications, Skills and Abilities:


  • A strong interest and background in journalism and professional writing/editing;
  • An interest in and aptitude for writing about complex world events and policy issues in concise, approachable ways for general readers;
  • Deep familiarity with social media and how social media users consume content;
  • Experience launching community initiatives (e.g. building an online forum or an ambassador program, creating an event series or writing an email newsletter)
  • Proven experience at managing multiple projects;
  • Team player who is flexible, able to adhere to tight deadlines, and can pivot as needed

Desired Qualities:


  • Preferably 2+ years work experience in the space journalism, professional writing/editing, and/or community engagement;
  • Experience with WordPress, CMS, or equivalent blogging software;
  • Basic HTML, or capability to learn;
  • Basic photo and video editing skills;
  • Demonstrates creative and engaging writing style for a millennial audience;
  • Able to cover and write about a range of global issues in a timely manner;
  • Excellent verbal communication skills;
  • Professional but warm demeanour and ability to interact with a variety of individuals and organisations;
  • Can-do attitude and willingness to roll up sleeves and work hard to tight deadlines;
  • Ability to show initiative;
  • Creative flair and not afraid to pitch out-of-the-box ideas

Remuneration: To be negotiated based on experience;
