Jr. Sales Analyst for Wine Importer

Maisons Marques & Domaines is seeking a Junior Sales Analyst who will be a key contributor in managing sales information systems, extracting and analysing relevant sales data, and providing sales data information and analysis to management and sales force. This is an entry-level role that revolves around MMD’s data platform, Vermont Information Processing system (VIP).

Key Responsibilities:
· Gain expertise with VIP & SRS data platforms and understand the flow of data in order to maintain accurate reporting.
· Collaborate with VIP team to maintain database (item set up, item catalog).
· Work with Business Analyst to implement new CRM & pricing tools in VIP.
· Collect, evaluate and report sales data in order to understand the state of the business and find new business opportunities.
· Prepare reporting & powerpoint decks for supplier meetings and distributor business reviews.
· Assemble meaningful data for competitor assortment and pricing analysis.
· Assist sales team in establishing target lists and measuring sales performance against pre-set targets.
· Partner with VP of Sales, Director of Sales and Regional Managers to provide ad-hoc reporting on their areas and to promote the use of our sales tools.
· Support WineBook division (Bordeaux wines) in monthly price posting, inventory management, catalog creation, and sales analysis.
· Help in day-to-day activities of the office such as reception of suppliers to the NY office, assisting in tasting/training set up, ordering supplies, and managing samples.

Experience:
·      Education: BA/BS in business, oenology, hospitality, engineering, data science.
·      Prior internship or work experience highly preferred
·      Experience defining problems, collecting data, and drawing valid conclusions.
·      Proficiency in Excel & Powerpoint at intermediate level or above. VBA a plus.
