Court Technology Analyst

JOB SUMMARY
Under the direction of the Court Information Technology Manager, the Court Technology Analyst acts as a lead worker providing support, training, and analysis of justice system needs, provides automated information systems to support those needs, and performs related duties as required.
This technical class works with independence and has responsibility for the completion of specialized hardware and software assignments.

The ideal candidate will have knowledge and experience with following systems and technologies.
Experience with:
  • Networking equipment. Cisco networking routing, switching, wireless, VoIP, and firewall concepts.
  • Experience/training with information security; intrusion prevention, detection and resolution knowledge.
  • Microsoft Windows Clients (10,7), Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, SCCM, Exchange, PowerShell, DevOps, scripting and office 365 experience. 
  • Cloud infrastructure, Azure, Backup and Disaster Recovery.
Knowledge of:
  • Database software systems and administration.
  • Linux servers and appliances.
  • Programming scripting: C#, Bash, JavaScript, HTML5, Markdown, SOAP.
  • Virtualization experience in general, preferably VMWare.

 EXAMPLE OF DUTIES:
Researches and responds to technical inquiries concerning operating and application system environments and software, system support software, and staff support software; provides troubleshooting services to management and staff.

Evaluates and recommends acquisition of application and operating systems software; participates in the evaluation of available hardware; researches and identifies hardware and software alternatives for handling present and future requirements; provides input on hardware, software, training, and associated costs.

Maintains a technical library and circulates appropriate materials to staff; develops or assists in the development of training materials and presentations for staff.

Participates in programming activities such as software implementation and maintenance; analyzes system dumps and traces; analyzes, tests, and makes recommendations on alternative equipment or software configurations.

Assists in database administration and problem analysis of database software as necessary; develops and maintains Internet technologies including Web design and administration; develops and maintains integrated application technology including interface design and administration; confers and consults with staff and vendors as required.

QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS:

Education
Graduation from an accredited college or university with a Bachelor's degree in computer science or closely related field.
  
Experience
Two (2) or more years of related work experience or any combination of training and experience that provides the desired knowledge and abilities. Three (3) additional years of experience can substitute for education with two (2) or more years in positions of advanced responsibility and complexity.
