Full Stack Software Engineer/Developer | Job ID 2020-2395

ERPi is currently seeking a full-time, full-stack Software Engineer / Developer with strong software DevOps, cloud, systems integration, and Agile experience to support ERPi’s Digital Citizen Services (DCS) and Rapid Prototyping Lab (RPL). The role will lead the design and development of front-end, user-facing web applications and well as back-end systems, such as analytical tools and linking data models to web-applications. In this role, you will be working in a team-based DevOps environment, collaborating with domain and business process experts, UX designers, and data scientists to create software solutions for a variety of government agencies. You will participate in all aspects of Agile SLDC to ship code that will help our clients accomplish their mission and help ERPi build our brand as a serious technology firm.
Responsibilities
  • Help Clients Solve Business Problems with Technology
  • Work with business experts and Technical Solution Architect to design, create and implement technology products or services to solve a wide variety of business problems; could be to develop custom solution or adapt/enhance/integrate existing COTS products
  • ‘Productize’ AI/ML data models and analytical tools
  • Advise consultants and their clients the most appropriate technology solutions to implement
  • Work with consultants and clients to turn business requirements into technical requirements
  • Learn from partner companies and vendors to build up ERPi’s internal DevOps capabilities
  • Create Rapid Prototypes and Cool Demos
  • As part of our Rapid Prototyping Lab (RPL), work with DevOps team and cross-functional experts to create rapid prototypes of software products or services to demo to current or prospective clients
  • Research new technologies; understand and educate colleagues on ‘art of the possible’
Responsibilities
Required Skills and Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in related field
  • 4+Years of Development experience of Web applications utilizing common coding languages, including: Python, R, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, C#, C++, JQuery, JS Frameworks (AngularJS, Jquery and NodeJS), Ruby on Rails, .Net
  • Experience with multiple relational database types (Postgres, Oracle, etc.)
  • Experience in Java, J2EE, Web Services, JSON and XML
  • Experience with RESTful services and APIs
  • Experience in one or more of the following: RDBMS, SQL, No-SQL, RDS, PostgreSQL, MongoDB or DynamoDB, HDFS, Spark
  • Understanding of software processes and methodologies and ability to speak intelligently about them
  • Experience with a version control system (e.g., Git); Agile management tools (e.g., Atlassian suite)
  • Experience with AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud (especially GovCloud environments)
  • Experience or familiarity with advanced analytics solutions, including artificial intelligence/machine learning-based solutions for business applications such as natural language processing, computer vision/image recognition, etc.
  • Can-do, creative problem solver and engineering mindset 
Desired Skills and Experience
  • Ability to demonstrate portfolio of work, via GitHub, websites, apps, etc.
  • Experience working for enterprise clients, especially government, healthcare, insurance, banking
  • Eager and able to learn and implement new coding languages and IT technologies (ERPi can pay for training) as client needs evolve
  • Mobile application development, such as IOS and/or Android
  • Ability to understand business processes—to anticipate user requirements
  • Ability to understand data science and statistical concepts
  • Ability to communicate technical ideas to non-technical colleagues and clients
  • Experience or familiarity with configuring and adapting COTS products such as: Robotic Process Automation, data visualization and analytics tools, CRM, chatbots, GIS tools
  • Health IT experience—familiarity with FHIR HL7, secure transport methods, Health Information Exchanges (HIE)
