This position is in the Office of Planning, Analysis and Risk Management OPARM) within the Enterprise Risk and Planning Staff, Strategic Planning and Evaluation Branch. OPARM oversees the USDA/Food Safety and Inspection Service's (FSIS) strategic planning, evaluations, surveys, enterprise risk management, internal controls, data collection and visualization, reporting, integration, and analysis. The incumbent conducts critical analyses of FSIS programs to help the Agency achieve its public health objectives and goals.





Responsibilities

  • Plays a key role in assisting and supporting strategic planning, performance measurement, metric development, enterprise risk management, coordinating, and reviewing management programs and operations.
  • Supplies and assesses performance data and information.
  • Assists with, leads, and coordinates FSIS's evidence and evaluation activities in compliance with the Foundations for Evidence-based Policymaking Act as outlined in OMB's A-11 Circular and the Government Performance and Results Act (GPRA).
  • Performs program analyses, evaluation studies, data analyses, data visualization, and developing and using dashboards for a broad range of FSIS programs to assess program performance, coordinates data collection activities, etc.
  • Leads or participates in the collection of information to perform program risk assessments.
  • Develops, reviews, and analyzes FSIS and program plans, processes, and performance results.
