Operations Assistant
Position: Operations Assistant / Front Desk
Location: Irvine, CA
Manager: Linda McCarthy, Site Director
SUMMARY
The Operations Assistant / Front Desk plays a vital role in the overall operations at ULP and is responsible for assisting the Site Director on the daily operations of our coworking space as well as providing excellent customer service to ULP’s Resident Companies. The Operations Assistant serves as the first point of contact for customer interaction and acts in a concierge role to accommodate any special requests.
Job Duties include, but are not limited to:
Operation / Administrative Support:
o Participate in the execution of laboratory safety program
o Develop and update SOPs, manuals, and policies for laboratory operations
o Manage laboratory co-working platforms
o Assist with laboratory purchasing
Administrative Support:
o Assisting with booking shared resources (conference rooms/equipment)
o Fielding calls, greeting visitors, accepting/scanning in deliveries
o Provide consistent excellent customer service with enthusiasm
o Other administrative, networking duties, and ad hoc projects as needed
Maintenance/Housekeeping:
o Ensures that shared conference/pantry area is prepped, well-stocked, and kept in an orderly manner.

Requirements:
o Outstanding organizational skills and ability to prioritize multiple tasks and/or projects
o Knowledge of MS Office (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint), proficiency with database systems
