High Level Project Summary/Intro:
In this position, you will be providing technical support of mission-critical databases for the United States Government.
What You'll Be Doing:
  • Collaborate with application developers to design database structures to support new requirements related to several enforcement applications.
  • Prepare scripts to create and/or modify database objects, including transactional database and data marts
  • Develop database stored functions, procedures, packages, and/or triggers
  • Prepare scripts to add, update, and/or delete data, including reference code tables.
  • Analyze the impacts of data and database object changes
  • Query data
  • Develop ad hoc reports to support user requests
  • Participate in peer reviews
  • Prepare documents describing how to install database changes
  • Manage your own time, and work well both independently with self-direction and as part of a team
  • Embrace emerging standards while promoting best practices
Required Skills and Experience:
  • 1 – 2 Years of demonstrated experience with Oracle SQL development
  • 1 – 2 Years of demonstrated experience with Oracle PL/SQL: functions, procedures, packages, and/or triggers
  • Demonstrated understanding of data modeling concepts
Preferred Skills and Experience:
  • Demonstrated experience designing and developing Oracle database objects
Education:
Bachelor's degree in a related field.
Clearance:
Must have the ability to obtain a DHS Public Trust.
