Business Operations Rotational Associate (BORA) - Full-Time - Summer 2021

About the team

Launch your career in the dynamic and exciting Business Operations Rotational Program at Zillow! Over the course of two-years you'll build a foundation of cross-functional skills through projects in client support, operations, strategy, product management and analytics. As part of a post-graduate cohort, you will immediately gain a community of peers and mentors to support your career development. Recurring cohort events include instructor-led hard skill trainings, roundtables with business leaders, learning & development workshops, and program-specific outings. Rotational associates are also encouraged to participate in affinity networks, volunteer events, and other events in the larger Zillow community.


About the role

We look for growing leaders who are passionate about business. As an Associate, you are passionate about analytics, using data to drive recommendations. You’re able to communicate your findings in a dynamic way tailored to various audiences. Communication is about actively listening, having empathy and including other perspectives. As an associate, you will often react quickly to embrace the constant change in a rapidly growing organization so the need to problem solve and think strategically is essential. You aren’t afraid to get into the details to identify root cause and advocate for a better way. Community is important here at Zillow! Your first rotation will be on the customer experience team, focusing on solving hurdles of our advertising partners. You’ll have an eye for process optimization, using SQL, a suite of internal tools and a client-first attitude to excel at technical problem solving. As you move into your next rotations, sample projects include:


  • Defining, crafting and measuring the success of new and ongoing initiatives through excel modelling
  • Driving operational improvements using in-depth analysis and feedback from various teams
  • Launching new pilots across business lines, including Premier Agent, Rentals and Zillow Offers

 

Grouped Start Date = July 12th 2021

This role has been categorized as a Hybrid position. “Hybrid” employees regularly work at an existing ZG corporate office for approximately 10 to 80 percent of their time each month, and the rest of the time they may work from a remote physical location of their choice within a reasonable commuting distance from the corporate office which must be identified to the Company in advance. The Recruiter and Hiring Manager will set expectations on the employee’s preferred time in office. ZG has not defined a reasonable distance, and expects employees will use judgment in determining this for themselves and understand the implications re: time commitment and cost of daily commute.


Who you are


  •  Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in business, economics, or a related field
  • Strong track record of academic performance, extracurricular involvement, and work experience
  • Ability to adapt quickly and enthusiastically to change
  • Eager to contribute and problem-solve across business environments
  • Excellent communicator that thrives in team setting  


In additional to a competitive base salary this position is also eligible for equity awards based on factors such as experience, performance and location.
