The American Institute for Behavioral Research and Technology (https://aibrt.org) is looking for talented and highly motivated students to work with distinguished psychologist Dr. Robert Epstein on various research and writing projects. Dr. Epstein is the former editor-in-chief of Psychology Today magazine, a Ph.D. of Harvard University, and the author of 15 books and more than 300 articles. He is also one of the most frequently interviewed psychologists in the world (https://drrobertepstein.com/index.php/media-coverage).

Interns work at a coastal facility about 30 minutes north of beautiful San Diego, California. It's close to the beach and just a short train ride away from Pacific Beach and downtown San Diego. This is an unpaid internship, although some expenses might be covered. Interns are quickly assigned to one or more projects that match their interests and learn valuable skills as they go. Co-authorship is also a possibility; of the more than 25 scientific papers Dr. Epstein has presented or published over the past few years, nearly half have been co-authored by AIBRT interns.

Current projects at AIBRT cover a wide range of topics: Search Engine Manipulation Effect (SEME), Search Suggestion Effect (SSE), YouTube Manipulation Effect (YME), and other new forms of online influence; adolescence, adultness, creativity, humanness, internet privacy, love and relationships, mental health, morality, motivation, parenting, sexual orientation, and stress management.
Candidates should be self-starters with strong writing skills. A background in research, statistics, web programming, PHP, R, SPSS, C++, communications would also be helpful.

Summer or winter-break interns generally work at least 20 hours per week onsite. School-year interns must work a minimum of 10 hours per week onsite. All interns must commit to working at least 140 hours in order to be eligible to receive letters of recommendation.
