Discord Fall 2020 Campus Ambassador
Do you use Discord? Are you a leader of a campus club or organization? Are you outgoing and well-connected? Discord is hiring students at your college to become brand ambassadors. This is your chance to expand the Discord community at your school and beyond!
JOB DESCRIPTION
We are seeking proven leaders to build brand awareness and showcase the usefulness of Discord as a communication platform for clubs & organizations at select college and universities. We're building a network of ambassadors to promote the functionality of Discord as the platform of choice for campus club communication.
We know that life is different these days, so our program will be ready to roll whether you are returning to campus, attending school digitally, or something in between. Ambassadors will use their creativity to increase awareness and convert and assist club leaders in using all the great features Discord has to offer. Ambassadors will work closely with the Discord team to develop activations that are the right fit for a school’s unique environment.
Ambassadors should already be active on Discord and understand what a robust communication platform it can be.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Currently enrolled in college/university as an undergraduate with Junior or Senior standing
- Qualified Sophomores considered
- Active Discord user – comfortable with creating servers and managing roles and channels. Bonus points if you do moderation for other servers on the side!
- Actively involved in school clubs/organizations/sports and/or Greek Life
- Self-starter with an entrepreneurial mindset; an impeccable communicator who thinks outside of the box
- Organized leader with strong multitasking skills, strategic mindset and ability to host, schedule meetings and events as well as track predefined metrics
- Active digital presence, engaged with campus life and college students not just on the ground, but online
- Interested in digital media and entertainment, communications, business, marketing, social media, sales, and/or project management
- A problem-solver who knows when to ask for help
- Works well with a team and is comfortable speaking in front of groups and engaging with new people in-person and digitally
