Full-Time Faculty - Mathematics (Bard High School Early College Baltimore) (beginning August 2021)
Bard High School Early College (BHSEC) Baltimore, a partnership between Bard College and the Baltimore City Public Schools in Baltimore, Maryland, invites applications for a full-time faculty position in Mathematics, beginning August 2019. Field of specialization is open.
The Bard early colleges enable talented and highly motivated students to complete a high school diploma and an Associate of Arts degree from Bard College within four years of study. The academic program emphasizes small classes and a commitment to teaching a diverse student body.
The successful applicant for this position must be committed to teaching classes at both the high school (specifically Algebra I and/or geometry) and college levels. In addition, candidates will be expected to participate fully in the life of the school, including student advising, club advising, and committee service. A graduate degree in mathematics or related field and dedication to teaching are required. Candidates who will have a Ph.D. at the time of employment, or who are ABD, with high school and/or college teaching experience are preferred.
