Associate Consultant

Full Time Associate Consultant

Compensia’s mission is to be the premier compensation consulting firm to compensation committees of technology and life sciences companies. Our consultants work with industry-leading organizations in the most dynamic market sectors in the world, where effective compensation programs and human capital management are considered critical drivers of success.

We are a fully independent consulting firm with a team of approximately 50 consultants. We operate two offices in the Bay Area and you will have the option of working from either location. However, we operate a distributed firm and do not require that you live near or regularly work from one of our office locations. When our offices reopen, we will return to holding in-person events, including Associate onboarding (which will require up to two weeks at one of our office locations) and ongoing training (which will require periodic travel).

We are an employee-owned firm with a flat management structure and an emphasis on rewarding exceptional performance. While accountability is among our most important values, our consultants have significant flexibility in determining the best approach for meeting their commitments. We value an entrepreneurial spirit and encourage a balance of client work, investments in our firm’s operations and intellectual capital, and career development and training. Compensia values diversity and embraces a culture of inclusion and belonging. We believe that our individual and collective success is enhanced by the diversity of our team, as well as our ability to communicate openly, honestly, and respectfully.

Our consultants support pre-IPO and public companies on all matters relating to executive and director compensation. Areas of expertise include compensation research and benchmarking, incentive plan design and approaches for ensuring pay-for-performance, the design of employee equity plans, and considerations specific to companies planning an IPO. We encourage candidates to review recent Thoughtful Pay Alerts posted on our website to better understand the focus of our client work.

We are currently interviewing exceptional candidates for full-time, entry-level consulting positions.
