Data Scientist / Machine-Learning Researcher :

Key Responsibilities
Together with Data mining Head and other team members, try to address clients various business pain points and propose technical or business level solutions.
Responsibilities include:
- Define new Research area of Data science for business with Data mining Head
- Research and develop a novel recommender system
Ø Research, develop,evaluate, and optimize recommender algorithms using actual log data
Ø Executing feature engineering, model selection and other optimization to improve accuracy
Ø Collaborate with UI/UX designers to realize effective user experience
- Research and develop algorithms for growth of Client
Ø New customer acquisition, churn prevention
Ø Causal inference / explainable AI for business action and customer insight
Ø Novel adaptive UX(using reinforcement learning and, bandit algorithms)
Ø And others
- Research various technology fields in data science for other entertainment business
Interlinkage
Need to work together with:
- R&D Center at India, Europe & US
- Job may require travel oversees post pandemic
Essential Education / Qualifications / Experience
- Academic basis for data science:
Ø PhD of Computer science or equivalent certificate
Ø Basic mathematics (linear algebra, statistics etc.)
Ø Machine learning (Classification/regression models, generative models, reinforcement learning, statistical learning theory, mathematical optimization etc.)
- 5+ years of professional experience at Research company or organization
- Professional experience of the following languages, software, tools:
Ø Python (scikit-learn, pandas, TensorFlow, PyTorch, etc.) (3+ years)
Ø Any other object-oriented languages (Java, C++, C#, Kotlin etc.) (2+ years)
Ø Deep learning
Ø SQL/KVS
Ø Linux
- Publication records in top-tier conferences such as NeurIPS, ICML, KDD, RecSys, WSDM, WWW or equivalent.
- Patents in Data science and ML areas
Preferred Qualifications / Experience
- Building data analysis environment (AWS/GCP, container technologies, distributed system like Hadoop/Spark etc.)
- Professional experience on experimental design and causal effect inference from observational data.
- Professional experience with any kind of machine learning systems in production
Ø Experience with MLOps
- Experience in Kaggle competition

- Good communication skills with engineer side (data scientists, machine learning engineers, system engineers etc.) and business side (business planner, marketer, sales etc.)
