Healthcare Data Analyst

Our team is looking for a talented, motivated, and high-performing Data Analyst to join our team. The Data Analyst will participate in creating data table enrichments, analyzing data, developing visualizations, and supporting the development and deployment of CareJourney’s suite of insights, products, and services to its client-base.

Key Responsibilities


  • Design and construct data tables, schemas and visualizations
  • Document data flow through our patient data warehouse
  • Perform data analysis on clients’ population health performance
  • Perform data validation tests to ensure quality
  • Assist in the delivery of completed work to client POCs
  • Perform additional team responsibilities as necessary


Required Skills


  • BS/BA degree or equivalent practical experience
  • 2-4 years of experience in a similar role
  • Deep understanding of analytics and data wrangling
  • Working knowledge of database principles, processes, technologies and tools
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Self-motivated; comfortable working independently under general direction
  • Proficiency with SAS or SQL

Desired Skills


  • MS degree with emphasis on coursework of a quantitative nature (e.g., Statistics, Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Data Sciences)
  • 4 years of experience in a similar role
  • Experience with health care data, particularly with health care claims data
  • Experience creating data models
  • Deep interest and aptitude in data, metrics, analysis and trends and applied knowledge of measurement and statistics
