2021 Summer Intern - Business Controls (Remote)

Purpose

AVANGRID, an innovative and growing energy company, needs a creative and ambitious college student to join our Corporate Control team within Avangrid Management Company. As part of our program, you will work closely with the Corporate Control teams relating to financial planning and analysis, investment processes and for our corporate shared services. This project focus is to generate a more automated set of processes surrounding these areas and with the centralization of certain tasks within our teams. This will require to gain an understanding of our key planning, accounting, reporting and analysis processes.

Responsibilities

Here’s what you’ll do:
  • Help plan and create a KPI dashboard and conduct the different process documentation when needed
  • Work with most of the Control team members to develop your planning and networking skills
  • This project will be the base for the long-term efficiency improvement, and thus having a material impact
  • Present to the SVP Controller and Directors about the process

Education & Experience Required:
  • Currently a sophomore or junior pursuing a Bachelor’s or first year in Masters/MBA Degree in Accounting, Finance, Data Analytics/Management
  • Accounting/finance studies relevant to career path
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States without the requirement for future sponsorship
