Financial Reporting Analyst/Accountant

Gilead’s Corporate Financial Reporting team (SEC reporting, global consolidation, financial analytics, financial systems) is looking to hire an energetic and collaborative professional who wants to make a difference.  
 
As the Financial Reporting Analyst, you will report to the Financial Reporting Manager and will assist with monthly, quarterly and annual close activities as well as financial analysis and reporting. Your job responsibilities will include but not limited to:  
  • Assist with the preparation of supporting schedules for SEC filings and internal management reports 
  • Assist with research and prepare monthly and quarterly balance sheet and/or income statement flux analysis 
  • Perform reviews, reconciliations and verifications of data used in the schedules and analysis 
  • Coordinate accounting and reporting matters with cross-functional teams 
  • Perform benchmark studies and document findings to support our external disclosures 
  • Participate in system and other improvement initiatives

Qualifications:  
  • 2 to 3 years of experience in accounting, financial reporting or relevant experience  
  • B.A or B.S degree in accounting, finance or a related filed 
  • Understanding of U.S. GAAP and internal controls   
  • Big 4 audit experience preferable 
  • CPA certification is a plus 
  • Positive, enthusiastic, inquisitive and eager to learn
