American Equity Life is looking for recent PhD graduates in Computer Science, Finance, or Accounting in its Chief Investment Office. The role interacts directly with the Chief Investment Officer. The scope includes Asset Allocation, Capital Optimisation and Portfolio Management. AEL is a highly innovative company with one of the most forward looking strategies in its industry. The role requires extensive knowledge of nonlinear optimisation techniques, data management, coding in R and Python, and finance and accounting. A basic understanding of regulatory capital requirements for insurance companies would be helpful but is not a prerequisite.
