Operations Systems Analyst Intern

Operations Systems Analyst Interns act as partners with the site Operations Team to maintain the site’s Warehouse Management System (WMS) operating procedures, and maximize system efficiencies while also participating in a formalized Summer Internship Program. The goal of the program is to enhance student’s business acumen through continuous learning and networking opportunities. Throughout the summer, interns have the opportunity to:
•Participate in a series of webinars that focus on professional networking, communication and presentation skills
•Listen and ask questions to our executives through our Executive Speaker Series
•Collaborate with other interns across the U.S. and Canada on a Capstone Project that focuses on improving various aspects of our business for our customers
•Travel to Westerville, OH to present their Capstone Project to leadership teams at the Intern Capstone Event, which is hosted at the end of each summer at our headquarters
•Network with other interns and business leaders across all regions and business segments within the organization
•Be considered for full time roles
Warehouse Management System (WMS):
•Exposure to basic configuration of the WMS.
•Understands the WMS database structure and system-specific coding languages
•Assists in collecting and analyzing systems and operational data. Provides recommendations to improve efficiency of operations.
•Assists in developing and implementing analytical tools that identify areas for improving service levels, reducing costs, and enhancing operations.
•Exposure to writing intermediate queries to include use of sub-queries
•Uses advanced functionality (e.g. HLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, Arrays)
•Records macros and manipulates VBA code
•Creates, runs, and manipulates site management and/or customer reports.
•Possesses a working knowledge of warehouse activities.
•Gain understanding of warehouse layout with respect to the Cost Model and Customer Profile and contributes to its design.
Site Technical Support
•Troubleshoots and coordinates technical support for site operations and systems.
•Interfaces with the customer to identify and resolve systems issues and maximize productivity.
