Intern - Microservices Software Engineer

Job Description


Your Career
As an IT Software Engineer intern, you will work on our business applications, implementing features across the entire stack. You will also accomplish business requirements by developing and maintaining software applications and databases hosted in a cloud.
Our Summer Internship Program from May-August or June-September provides you:

Your Impact
  • Internal as well as external customer facing application development
  • Integration with external cloud service providers using technologies like Java, Serverless Design, microservices, NoSQL and containers
  • Development of sales enablement tools that integrate with our Firewall products
  • Gather business and system requirements from teams
  • Develop business applications on cloud-based services, such as Amazon Web Services (AWS) or Google Cloud Platform (GCP), utilizing leading edge technologies and frameworks
  • Develop rich front-end experiences using technologies such as React.Js and Redux.JsA
  • Assist with defining and deploying a solution to support enterprise business processes

Qualifications

Your Experience
  • Currently working towards a BS/BE/MS in a technical area (Computer Science, Engineering, etc)
  • Basic understanding of software design, object-oriented programming concepts and development
  • Basic understanding of developing and hosting services and application in cloud-based services (AWS, GCP, etc)
  • Good working knowledge of at least one programming language such as Python, Javascript, or Java
  • Basic understanding of data analysis methods and approaches

Additional Information

Requirements – To apply, you must be pursuing a 4-year Undergraduate Degree, a 2-year Master’s Degree or a Doctorate degree and returning to school in the fall. You must have the authorization to work within the United States.

The Team
Our IT Enterprise Applications team works very closely with business stakeholders in marketing, sales, channels and customer service to realize our ideas through prototyping, Proof-of-Concept projects, and application development.
