Business Analyst Graduate Summer Intern

We are looking for a Business Analyst intern for Summer 2021 to join First American Title, National Commercial Services (NCS) for 10-12 weeks of full time work.

This position is suitable for graduate candidates in the field of business management who are interested in exploring a career path in Business Analysis. 
NCS Business Architecture team plays a key role in shaping and supporting Business process improvement and transformation initiatives within the NCS division.
As a Business Analyst intern, with First American Title , Business Architecture team you’ll gain first-hand experience and knowledge of the day-to-day life of a Business Analyst who works directly with business and stakeholders to identify and implement process improvement activities which may lead to changes like standardization, automation or digital transformation. The internship program is a wonderful opportunity to explore a career path as a Business Analyst, within the Title Insurance sector with a transformational team and division. This role will provide you with direct exposure to real life business challenges and an understanding of how changes are implemented.

Key responsibilities:

  • Participate in and provide support for research and requirements documentation
  • Provide information through data driven analysis to support decision making
  • Support internal teams with coordination and communication
  • Helps with information gathering sessions and interacting with stakeholders to track down relevant supporting data and information through primary and secondary research as required.
  • Analyzing quantitative and qualitative data to identify trends, create reports and/or dashboards
  • Creating research or project presentations
  • Documenting the current state and understanding the gaps
  • Other support functions to aid in completing and meeting artifact and project deadlines

Skills:

  • Strong problem solving and critical thinking desired
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and tasks
  • Knowledge of Agile methodologies, and tools like TFS
  • Research and Analytical skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong MS office skills (MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Visio)
  • Ability to work collaboratively or independently in a team environment
  • Skills in analyzing data to extract information

Typical Education
  • Currently enrolled in an MBA or Master's program
