Business Analyst

Job Description

DSM Engines is in search of qualified applicants for its Business Analyst position. In this role, our team members are responsible for analyzing a wide variety of sales and marketing data to uncover actionable insights for our clients.   • Data Preparation: Validate, cleanse, and integrate data from various sales and marketing data sources to support analysis and reporting objectives
  • Data Analytics: Analyze client data to identify customer opportunities and measure the performance of sales and marketing programs
  • Reporting & Data Visualization: Build impactful reports and interactive dashboards to deliver insights to decision makers in the client organization
  • Client Communications: Interact with clients and partners to capture business requirements and share analytic insights
  • Workstream Management: Take full ownership of work plans and deliverables for major project workstreams
  • Professional Development: Take full advantage of training and development opportunities offered by DSM. Share knowledge with other DSM team members.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Economics, Information Management, Computer Science, or similar field of study
  • Desire to work within the fields of sales and marketing, and solve challenges using analytics
  • Experience working with data sets to design and build reports and analyses for business audiences
  • Demonstrated ability to learn new technologies and concepts quickly
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work in the US without DSM sponsorship

  • Experience working with relational database management systems (e.g., Microsoft SQL Server)
  • Experience working with data visualization software (e.g., Tableau) to present your analysis
  • Understanding of ETL platforms (e.g., MS SSIS) and their impact on business processes
  • Familiarity with statistics, machine learning, and/or data mining techniques
