Data and Forecast Analyst Intern - Summer 2021

Position Summary
Data and forecast analyst (intern) will assist with demand forecasting process and the position will require interaction with all functions within the organization (PLM, Sales, Finance, Planning) to support cross functional collaboration. Great opportunity to be exposed to and observe how business forecasts and plans longer term and to take analytical capability to the next level working with real examples. Strong data management and good communication skills are needed.     
 
Responsibilities/Key deliverables:
  • Assist building SKU-Region-Channel level demand forecast with various inputs from business stakeholders (Inventory strategy, NPI/EOL, Promo plans)
  • Collect regional/channel Sales input (file maintenance and data load)   
  • Collect product line input on product roadmap (NPI/EOL), strategy and NPI launch channel assumption (document/organize /structure data)
  • Actively analyze the historical and latest Sales trends (POS/Gross ship and channel OH), research demand drivers, evaluate forecast
  • Analyze supply and demand and identify gap/recommend solutions 
  • Develop and maintain report and tools to improve forecast accuracy and efficiency in the process
  • Assist running demand review meetings at various levels (By region/Sales and by product category)  
  • Participate in projects to improve forecasting related processes and systems
  • Assist with all data and system management and maintenance related to forecasting 

Desired Skills & Experience
  • BA/BS Degree or its equivalent in relevant area – Business, Statistics, Finance, Mathematics or Supply Chain/Operation
  • Experience manipulating and analyzing complex, high volume, highly dimensional data from varying sources
  • Strong knowledge of Statistical modeling, analytical and data mining techniques
  • Tableau, Advanced excel  
  • Excellent interpersonal skill with ability to work with individuals, teams and management as well as autonomously.
  • Able to maintain a "big picture" perspective, identifying and evaluating opportunities where cross-group collaboration would enhance the business
  • Strong Analytical capability in identifying demand trends, seasonality, promotional impact and other demand causals
  • Analyzes, explains and draws logical conclusions based on complex and ambiguous data from multiple content areas
  • Readily and easily switches gears in response to unexpected events and circumstances with strong bias for Action to deliver within tight deadline
  • High integrity, self-motivated, independent, plus a willingness to learn and adapt new environment quickly
  • Key project role on process improvement or system implementation is a plus.
