Analyst - Operations (San Francisco or New Hampshire)

We are seeking an exceptional Operations Associate in San Francisco or New Hampshire to support the growth of our investment advisory firm. About the Role
The Operations Analyst will assist other team members with a broad array of tasks. This position will gain exposure to multiple facets of the business as it is centrally situated within the organization. The Analyst will liaise with the Investment, Client Advisory, Client Service, Technology and Compliance teams by performing the following functions:
 
Operations
  • Provide regular maintenance of the data residing in Addepar
  • Work with client-facing teams to onboard new clients and accounts
  • Monitor and enhance the processing of investment correspondence by third parties
  • Take part in implementing a premier tech stack to achieve optimum operational efficiency
  • Recommend and update policies, procedures, and training materials
 
Data Maintenance
  • Ensure upstream data is feeding into Addepar appropriately
  • Regularly monitor and reconcile data across multiple systems to ensure accuracy
  • Collaborate with vendors to identify, manage, track, and resolve challenging issues
 
Reporting
  • Interact with internal teams to optimize their use of applications and systems
  • Produce reports for internal teams to make more informed decisions
  • Generate, review, troubleshoot and distribute client reports
 
About You
 
  • 1+ years' experience working in Finance or Fintech
  • Bachelor's degree in finance, computer science, accounting, or related study
  • Possess a genuine interest in operations, finance, technology, and data analysis
  • Know your way around Excel to compare and analyze large datasets
  • Technically and intuitively minded when it comes to computer systems and applications
  • Seek to resolve issues rather than delegate or ignore them
  • Strive to build a more efficient solution to eliminate manual repetition.
  • Highly detail-oriented, accurate, and self-motivated
  • Strong work ethic and ability to work well both independently and as part of a team
  • Genuinely like helping others
  • Love taking on challenges and finding creative solutions
  • Do not get flustered easily
  • If you do not know the answer, you will dig until you find it
  • Communicate effectively with a broad range of stakeholders and personalities
  • Discreet in handling sensitive and confidential information
  • Ability to juggle multiple tasks with competing priorities.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
 
Also considered, but not required:
  • Experience with Addepar or similar financial reporting application
  • Experience with financial analysis, investment reporting, or portfolio accounting
  • Coded within Python, SQL, VBA, or APIs to automate, integrate, and streamline tasks and processes
  • Exposure to data warehouses, architecture, normalization and ETL
