Feeding Texas - Racial Equity VISTA [Austin, TX]
As the Racial Equity VISTA in our Feeding Texas office you will support and document our organization's journey of adopting a racial equity framework and cultivating an anti-racist culture. From this information, you will create a case study toolkit the rest of the network can utilize to begin or strengthen their integrated approach to pursuing racial equity in food justice. The VISTA will work across departments and teams to research, document, measure, and create recommendations and/or processes that support adoption of racial equity framework and anti-racist culture. All Community Capacity Corps VISTAs engage community members through one-on-one interviews in order to gather stories for a statewide StoryBank with a focus on learning about the authentic lives of people experiencing food insecurity, and presenting the truth of hunger in our community to a public audience.

Qualifications
● College Graduate or equivalent experience
● Interest in innovative approaches to addressing poverty
● Excellent written and verbal communication skills
● Minimum 18 years of age
● Responsible for finding own housing
