Benefit Services Team Analyst
The CalSTRS Service Retirement Division is seeking a motivated individual to join the Benefit Services Team as a Benefit Services Team Analyst.
The Service Retirement Division is the largest benefit program within CalSTRS and responsible for the timely and accurate delivery of benefits to retired California educators. The Benefit Services Team ensures accurate and timely processing of various postretirement programs including deductions for insurance, dues and Medicare premiums, as well as administering community property benefits.
Under the supervision of the Pension Program Manager I of the Benefit Services Team (BST) in Service Retirement (SR), the Benefit Services Team Analyst is responsible for:
- Performing a wide range of duties and analytical tasks required in administering the Medicare Premium Payment Program (MPPP) and the Dues & Insurance Deductions (DID).
- Working in a team environment exercising a high degree of initiative and good judgment in interpreting California State Teachers’ Retirement System (CalSTRS) law.
- Applying CalSTRS law appropriately in accordance with established policies and procedures.
