Associate Consultant - San Francisco

POSITION OVERVIEW:
·    Entry level for recent undergraduates
·    Perform rigorous yet creative quantitative analyses
·    Learn new industries and business disciplines quickly working across industries
·    Work as a member of a project team with exposure to clients and senior staff
·    Opportunities to travel domestically & internationally, but not traveling all the time
·    Promotable to higher levels without an MBA or PhD
 
PREREQUISITES:
·    Quantitative analytical education (typically Engineering, Math, Economics or a Science degree)
·    Very strong spreadsheet (Excel) and database skills
·    Excellent research capabilities
·    High levels of intelligence, energy & enthusiasm
·    Well-developed interpersonal skills and team skills
·    Flexibility and intellect to be a “quick study” in new situations.
·    Creativity, intellectual curiosity, detail oriented and very organized
·    Quick and efficient problem solving skills with abundant common sense
·    Strong communications skills, both written and verbal (multiple languages a plus)
·    A high degree of maturity and responsibility with the ability to work independently
·    Ability to work cross-culturally with diverse groups of clients and co-workers
 
RESPONSIBILITIES:
·    Conduct research to obtain data and other information from a variety of sources
·    Analyze & visualize data and information to yield meaningful insights (typically with Excel)
·    Interpret & synthesize analyses to yield valuable conclusions
·    Apply strategic thinking to create useful ideas for addressing client issues
·    Prepare materials for presentations to clients and staff
·    Present & discuss methodologies, findings and recommendations to clients and staff
·    Rapidly learn new business concepts and analytical techniques to apply to client issues
 
RECRUITING PROCESS:
·    Typically 2 or 3 rounds of interviews with emphasis on Case Analysis during in-person interviews
