Inhouse Associate Consultant - Global Graduate Program

Inhouse Consulting is the internal management consulting department supporting the global businesses of Merck KGaA, Darmstadt, Germany. Over the past 20 years, our team have developed and implemented local and global strategies for senior executives across all our business sectors: Healthcare (EMD Serono), Life Science (MilliporeSigma) and Electronics (EMD Electronics). Our US offices are in the Greater Boston Area (Burlington and Rockland), while our Global Headquarters are located in Darmstadt, Germany, and our offices in Singapore and Shanghai serve clients in Asia Pacific.
Based in Burlington, MA, willingness to travel.

Your Role:
Ideal candidates for the Global Graduate Program are recent MBA/PhD/Masters graduates who enjoy working on teams and have a global mindset. During the 24-month rotational program, Associates will experience a mix of strategic management consulting projects as well as functional rotations in the pharmaceutical, life science and electronics industries.
Year 1: Build core competencies with on-the-job training through a wide variety of local, regional, and global projects with consultants and senior business leaders across our global businesses
Year 2: Immerse in the businesses through 3-4 functional rotations of your choice across our businesses: Healthcare, Life Science, and Electronics. Additionally, you have the opportunity to spend one of the rotations abroad in another geography
Year 3+: Following successful completion, transition to the industry and function of choice to continue your development as a future leader within the organization
Throughout the program, Associates will also participate in targeted professional trainings and our internal coaching curriculum to continuously improve their technical expertise (e.g., industry and function-specific, problem solving), business acumen (e.g., strategy, finance, management) and soft skills (e.g., communication, teamwork).
Minimum requirements:
- MBAs or Master’s degree/PhD in business, science, or engineering
- 6+ months minimum of work experience
Preferred requirements:
- Demonstrated interest in business/industry through coursework, professional experience, extracurriculars, or internships
- Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills
- Proactive and self-motivated mindset
- Outstanding communication and team-working skills
- Excellent verbal and written English (additional language(s) a plus)
- Mastery of MS Office (especially Excel and PowerPoint)

- Must be authorized to work in the US on a permanent basis and have US work experience
