About this role:
iRhythm is currently seeking a Research Systems Engineer Co-op on our Data Science and Software Engineering teams. In this role you will work directly with the iRhythm data science and software engineering teams to help build proof of concept mobile, web and server applications for future product research. These projects will expose you to state of the art AI applications in the medical diagnostic space, allowing you to gain skills and experience in the fields of software engineering, data science and machine learning. This is a 6 month assignment reporting the Data Science Algorithm Research Lead. Our work environment is fast-paced, with a collaborative atmosphere. Specific job responsibilities include:
- Assisting Data Science team in translating Machine and Deep Learning algorithms into C or machine level language implementations for optimum execution on mobile platforms
- Collaborating with the Design, UX and Systems team to define app features for the collection and processing of biosignal data
- Identifying and resolving potential performance issues in collaboration with the Systems team personnel
- Developing, debugging and optimizing mobile apps for biosignal data
About you:
- Working towards BA/BS/MS in Computer Science, or related technical field.
- Java and Python development experience
- Experience in building Android mobile applications
- Familiarity with object oriented programming
Desired Skills
- Web application development experience
- Experience with biomedical applications
- Experience working with AWS, MySQL
- Experience with wearable technology
- Experience with biosignal processing and algorithms
This is a 6 month co-op.
