Data Analysts are hands-on technical leaders who build, test and maintain business intelligence (BI) reports, the data warehouse and data pipelines. We’re looking for strategic thinkers who collaborate with stakeholders and others to understand the challenges and needs of the business areas they support. You’ll combine technical mastery and business knowledge to own and deliver the right solution for the right business problem. In this role you’ll develop knowledge of leading trends and best practices in Big Data/BI and build expert level understanding of tools and technology utilized by the group to provide self-service BI. What You’ll Do: 
  • Develop technical architecture, design and implementation of data platforms and business analytics solutions to empower your stakeholders to solve their data driven analytics and reporting needs.
  • Develop and implement appropriate data architecture, ETL/ELT pipelines, reporting, dashboarding, data exploration, processes and quality controls to enable self-service BI reporting and analytics platforms.
  • Act as a subject matter expert for technical guidance, solution design and best practices within the Data Analytics and Engineering organization.
  • Keep current on big data and data visualization technology trends, evaluate, work on proof-of-concept and make recommendations on the technologies based on their merit.
 
What We Need: 
  • Strong background in data warehouse concept and design including experience in designing and implementing DW Architectures using MPP and columnar databases and data formats (Redshift, Big Query, Apache Parquet, etc.).
  • Significant experience working with stakeholders and implementing end-to-end data solutions including data model, data pipelines and BI products to solve complex business requirements.
  • Experience building a data pipeline including data acquisition from web services.
  • Experience in the development of custom built BI and Big Data reporting solutions using modern BI tools (Looker, Tableau, etc).
  • Experience in at least one SQL syntax (Postgres, MSSQL).
  • Scripting experience with Python or Java.
  • Strong business acumen, critical thinking and technical abilities along with excellent analytical skills.
  • Excellent communication skills, empathy, initiative and a desire to learn. 2+ years of experience in data engineering.
  • Bachelors or Masters in Computer Science, Data Science, Computer Engineering, Analytics, Mathematics, Statistics, Information Systems, Data Management or other engineering or quantitative discipline field.
 
Unstoppable Qualities: 
  • Experience with data infrastructure on major cloud providers such as AWS, Azure, GCP
  • Experience with Kubernetes and Dremio
