Salary: $35,642 to $84,948 / Per Year (GS-05/1 – GS-11/10)
*Salary will depend on series and grade at which offered*

Duties: Serves as a member of an interdisciplinary team within the Electronic Proving Ground wherein the assigned mission is to conduct test and evaluation on a variety of Army equipment (i.e. Antenna, C4ISR, Cyber & IA, Electromagnetic Environmental Effects (E3), GPS, Networking & Test Tools) to determine whether such material are qualified for production and whether US Army standards of quality are being maintained.

At the developmental level you will perform assignments concerned with test and/or evaluation of a wide variety of military systems and equipment. Typical assignments include, but are not limited to the following; serves as a support engineer or scientist, performing instrumentation engineering, development, testing, or integration where established criteria and technical precedents are generally established. Guidance from senior professional engineers and scientists is provided if precedents do not exist due to the accuracy and critical operating performance required for the acquisition and reduction of data in the dynamic testing of Army material. These systems are composed of new and unusual types of equipment that are complex and must meet high standards of precision. 

At the full performance level you will be responsible for (1) independently performing the full range of standard engineering test functions for research and development, production and post-production, product improvement and/or other test projects (2) Independently plans, coordinates and conducts testing projects requiring unusual planning, scheduling, coordination, and/or negotiation.

Eligibility & Conditions of Employment:
• Must be a U.S. Citizen
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret Security Clearance
• Cumulative GPA of 2.5 or higher
• 25% Temporary Travel maybe required
• This is a Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act Career Field position
• Two Year probationary period may be required.

• Required to provide proof of U.S. Citizenship upon employment.

Authority Used to Hire:
• DHA MRTFB: a person who was awarded a degree by an institution of higher education. Considering students who have or will graduate by December 2021.

BASIC QUALFICATIONS: OPM Basic Qualifications have to be met.

GS-05: No specialized experience. OPM Basic Qualifications have to be met. 

GS-07: OPM Basic Qualifications have to be met. One year of specialized experience which includes 1) Performing routine scientific or engineering tasks to assist higher level employees. 2) Knowledge of engineering principles and concepts to determine applicability to the work being performed. 
Education substitution: 1 year of graduate-level education or superior academic achievement. (GPA of 3.0 or higher) 

GS-09: OPM Basic Qualifications have to be met. One year of specialized experience which includes 1) Applying techniques to plan, coordinate, analyze or report on completed tests and evaluation projects; and 2) Assist with analyzing/evaluating scientific data in the solution of engineering problems. 
Education substitution: 2 years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to a master's degree or master's or equivalent graduate degree. 

GS-11: OPM Basic Qualifications have to be met. One year of specialized experience which includes 1) Interpreting/applying scientific and engineering guidelines to 
test and evaluation of military equipment. 2) Preparing report on testing procedures and findings to ensure engineering requirements are met; and 3) 
Analyzing/evaluating scientific data to obtain solution to engineering test problems. 
Education substitution: 3 years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to a Ph.D. degree or Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree.
