The Executive Director (REA) leads Equity and Access’s department of research, evaluation, and assessment. Candidates must have a complimentary set of skills and experience that will allow the ideal candidate to develop processes and structures as well as foster collaborative interdepartmental relationships to advance equity from cradle to career by improving learning opportunities and addressing disparities that result in social inequality by using a human-centered systems minded approach, and relying on a colleagueship of expertise. The ideal candidate would have experience in the following areas:
 
  • Researching, evaluating, and assessing the effectiveness and indicators such as those associated with the domains of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) Praxis Collaborative
  • Organizing and operationalizing processes and procedures for the district’s national, state, and local aligned assessment system
  • Applying program evaluation methodology and operations to district and department initiatives including but not limited to DEI, aligned assessment system, and data visualization system
  • Providing information from department initiatives to various stakeholders in a variety of mediums with strong interpersonal communication, facilitation, and attention to audience
 
Requirements:

*Any combination equivalent to: Master's Degree or the equivalent in course work or experience with emphasis in research, evaluation, measurement, and statistics and at least five years of experience in educational research, evaluation and testing with at least one year in a supervisory capacity.

*Doctoral degree in an appropriate field is preferred.

*Minimum of 12 semester units in tests and measurement, statistics and research methods, no fewer than six units of which must be in statistics.


*Valid California driver's license.
