Performance Analyst

Overview:
Soltage is a leader in the development, financing, and operation of distributed utility-scale solar assets for commercial, industrial and municipal customers across the United States. Soltage has developed more than 100 solar energy projects with more than 350 MW total distributed generating capacity in operation or under construction. Position Expectations:
Soltage is seeking an entry-level candidate to join a fast-growing solar distributed generation company as a key member of the asset management team. The Performance Analyst will have responsibility for assisting in the management of the ongoing operations of portfolios of solar projects and daily monitoring of their operational performance. The Performance Analyst will be expected to identify performance shortfalls, determine root causes, and spearhead efforts to restore optimal performance of projects.
Specific Job Functions:
  • Monitor and analyze daily production performance for approximately 100 operational solar projects
  • Perform root cause analysis production shortfalls
  • Determine and execute on strategies for optimizing performance and reducing production shortfalls
  • Provide Cost-Benefit analysis for corrective maintenance on O&M issues
  • Generate daily and periodic production performance reports
  • Provide written and oral presentations to management on portfolio performance and issues
  • Track all open O&M issues and report status to the Asset Management Team
  • Dispatch O&M as necessary in coordination with the Operations Manager
  • Spare parts tracking for all assets
  • Quickly adapt and interact with the Soltage asset management software platform
  • Additional responsibilities as assigned
Qualifications:
  • Bachelors degree (preferable background in a quantitative field i.e. Engineering, Physics, Math, CS, etc.)
  • Demonstrated interest in renewable energy through work experience, projects, or coursework
  • Demonstrable proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Powerpoint) required
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proven analytical and mathematical capabilities including interaction with large datasets
  • Superior listening, critical thinking, and writing and presentation skills
  • An eagerness to learn about an exciting and fast-growing industry
  • High degree of attention to detail
