Business Analyst Associate

About West Creek
We’re one of the fastest growing consumer finance companies in America. Why? We’re making it simpler, faster, and more transparent to purchase the things you need to make your life go.
By combining smarter technology with a relentless focus on customer experience, we’re transforming the financing experience for essential life purchases in retail stores nationwide.

The Opportunity
  • Help us launch a new lending product that will make West Creek the first full credit spectrum originator in our point-of-sale verticals. This new lending product will enable us to drive a dramatically better consumer and merchant experience, all while opening over a trillion dollars of new vertical markets.
  • As a business analyst, you will partner directly with the Head of Strategic Initiatives and President to drive this new product launch and rollout.
  • Your responsibilities will include:
  • Drive research and analysis that powers our strategy, operational, financial, and business development decision-making.
  • Develop business plans, including gathering requirements for transformational projects within our new product line.
  • Create and maintain our reporting infrastructure to measure and drive business performance.
  • Produce financial models and NPV analyses.

About You
  • You thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic, entrepreneurial environment.
  • You have the versatility and intellectual curiosity to work across functional groups.
  • You are an effective thought partner and can think both practically and creatively.
  • You have existing proficiency in or the ability to quickly learn a database language (SQL) or programming language (Python, R, etc).
  • You have 0 to 2 years of experience in a quantitative field and/or quantitative degree (preferred - finance, economics, mathematics, engineering, etc).

Things we value:
  • Curiosity. Why? How?
  • Nerdiness. Financial news and trends are fascinating. Seriously.
  • Relentlessness. No one here gives up. We try. We fail. We try again.
  • Passion. If you don’t get excited about point-of-sale financing, retail, and consumer empowerment, it simply won’t work.
  • Smarts: Book and street. We have to use all of the tools at our disposal to build West Creek.
  • Empathy and Compassion. You understand that people's access to life essential goods and services are in your hands.
  • Communication. Can you ask for help or put your hand up when you don’t understand?
  • Building. Doing. Making. Yes, we have to do a lot of thinking and talking to figure this stuff out, but you can’t wait to leave the conversation and build it.
