Analyst - Private Equity

Overview

Star Equity Holdings, Inc. (Nasdaq: STRR) (“Star Equity”) is a publicly traded, diversified holding company with a private equity strategy. Star Equity has three divisions: Healthcare, Construction, and Investments. The Analyst will be required to handle a diverse set of projects spanning the private equity, investing, corporate finance, corporate strategy, and hedge fund arenas. These projects will involve matters pertaining to the public company, its operating businesses, and potential M&A or investment opportunities. M&A could involve bolt-on targets for an existing operating business or add an entirely new business segment. The Analyst will report directly to the VP of Finance & Strategy and work regularly with the analyst team as well as senior management.

Responsibilities

The Analyst will be responsible for assisting the Star Equity team with the following:

· Financial modeling and budgeting

· Preparation of board meeting materials

· Preparation of various press releases, presentations, and case studies

· Market/industry research

· Capital allocation (analysis of internal investments)

· Mergers, acquisitions, & dispositions (research, due diligence, and analysis)

· Assisting operating management teams

· Investor relations

· Banking relationships

· Managing the Investments division

Requirements

· Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, or Economics preferred

· Minimum GPA of 3.5

· Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office (especially Excel)

· Financial modeling experience

· Accounting coursework/experience

· Bloomberg Terminal experience (preferred)
