Manipulation Researcher - Intern
Job Description:
This role is mainly working on researching and developing innovative mechanisms and methodology for applications of warehouse and logistic automation.
Position Requirements:
- Knowledge of robotics, including kinematics, motion planning, manipulation, etc.
- Good knowledge of robot arm end effector design. Mechatronic system design skills.
- Conduct advanced research and engineering in hardware designing, motion planning and controlling for robotic manipulation.
- Apply research results to real-world applications with high quality implementation Integrate the resulting system/software into existing Dorabot Platform.
- Good communication skills.
- Self management; Able to work independently, has strong research and problem solving skills.
- Flexible work hours (hybrid of onsite/remote).
Preferred Qualifications:
- Currently enrolled in graduate school program; Majoring in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or related field.
- paper published on well-known journals or top conferences.
- Professional mechanical design experience, including pneumatic and robotic systems.
- Strong background in robotic manipulation.
- Good Programming Skills.
