Associate Compensation Review Analyst
The CalSTRS Employer Services Division is seeking a dedicated and dependable individual with strong analytical and communication skills to join the Compensation Review Unit as an Associate Compensation Review Analyst.
The Employer Services (ES) Division is the primary communication interface with the plan’s participating employers. It is also the custodian of the members’ accounts from election to benefit/termination status. Over a million contribution lines are submitted monthly from participating employers and ES staff ensures the timeliness and accuracy of the contribution data.
The Compensation Review Unit is comprised of creditable compensation specialists responsible for analyzing compensation to ensure compensation is reported consistently with the Education Code.
Under the direction of the Pension Program Manager I (PPM I), the Associate Compensation Review Analyst will:
- Independently perform a full range of journey level assignments regarding compensation review in the Compensation Review Unit (CRU).
- Act as a subject matter expert on creditable compensation.
- Communicate verbally and in writing with members regarding determinations on their accounts; and with employers regarding the appropriate reporting of compensation.
- Collaborate and work with other CalSTRS units and employers to resolve improper compensation reporting issues.
