MIM is a New York based institution that offers management and technology courses since 1984. Given the growing demand for skilled and passionate data scientists, MIM is looking for experienced and passionate instructors for its Data Science Bootcamp. This program will allow our graduates to enhance their data analytics and technology skills hands-on by working with data, writing code and building machine learning models. It will help them find many new career opportunities for make career changes.
Job Description
Role Description
The part-time (15-20 h per week) Data Science Instructor will share his expertise in Python, R, SQL, or Data and Software Engineering via both online and on-campus lectures. He/she will also partner with other instructors to deliver best-in-class Data Science education to students. The MIM data science instructor will empower students with the skills to become Data Analysts and Data Scientists and at the same time supplement his/her income
Skills and Qualifications
- Master’s/PhD Degree in Data Science/Computer Science
- 3+ years of professional data science experience building machine learning models Python and other libraries
- Strong knowledge of probability and statistics and coding
- Previous teaching experience of data science courses
Responsibilities and Duties
- Interview qualified student applicants
- Implement a 12 to 16-weeks curriculum for a Data Science program
- Help expand our curriculum with real-world courses in Data Engineering, SQL, Excel, Google Sheets, Python, GitHub and more
- Deliver instruction weekly online and/or on-campus
- Assist in building a team of qualified Data Science instructors
- Passion for teaching and excellent communication skills
