Business Systems Analyst

The Business Systems Analyst at NEB will have two primary functions. 1) SAP Sales and Distribution Analyst with responsibility for the design, delivery, maintenance of solutions within the global SAP Sales and SD functions. 2) Labeling Support Analyst having sole responsibility for the support/maintenance of NEB’s labeling solutions. To perform well in these roles, the Business Systems Analyst will establish a strong partnership with the business process owners to maintain a clear understanding of priorities and how solutions fit into the business goals and objectives.
Primary Responsibilities (SAP SD Analyst):
- Responsible for ensuring NEB’s SD requirements are met during design and implementation of SAP, NEB’s core ERP platform.
- Provide subject matter expertise for core processes, including, but not limited to, order processing, shipping, and customer data maintenance.
- Participate in SD Governance meetings where business/IT work collaboratively to maintain a clear list of issues/requests, establish priorities, and set realistic expectations.
- Provide user education for business process design and improvements.
- Authoring specification documents
- Design test cases and business use case scenarios.
- Learn to configure software according to business requirements.
- Coordinate the implementation of best business practices and training within the NEB community.
- Collaborate with developers for program changes.
- Provide day to day SAP configuration support primarily to Sales/Distribution (SD) modules.
- Provide training and knowledge transfer, for cross training purposes, to other members of the IT team.
- Participate on project teams to support upgrades and assist in continuous improvement efforts.
- Stay current in related technologies and best practices.
Primary Responsibilities (Labeling):
- Primary ownership for labeling design/maintenance using Loftware’s Spectrum labeling solution.
- Maintenance of physical printers is performed by business personnel, but general knowledge of how they function will be required.
- Label printing Infrastructure (i.e., server, network) will be supported by IT Infrastructure team, but understanding of architecture will be required.
- Schedule/manage label software upgrades
- Stay current in related technologies, best practices, and new software capabilities.
- Coordinate the implementation of best business practices and training within the NEB community.
- Collaborate with Loftware, IT infrastructure team, and business as needed.
- Maintain positive/productive relationship with our primary label software vendor, currently Loftware.
- Provide training and knowledge transfer, for cross training purposes, to other members of the IT team.
- Participate in cross-platform projects as needed.
Required Qualifications and Experience:
- Ability to communicate complex technical/business concepts in simple/understandable terms.
- Effective written, oral and interpersonal communication skills.
- Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks.
- Must be highly motivated, have a great work ethic and enjoy working as part of a team.
- Must be willing to do some travel and off shift hours as required.
- Must be excited to learn new skills/concepts. Be a constant learner.
Preferred Qualifications and Experience:
- BS in Information Systems or related field is preferred.
- Familiarity with SAP is highly preferred, either as an end-user or configurator.
- Experience in an operations role including deep knowledge of key processes such as order processing, shipping, and customer/material data maintenance is preferred.
- NEB uses Loftware’s Spectrum labeling solution for label design/maintenance. Expertise with this solution is preferred.
