AMD Research is an entrepreneurial research organization with a strong track record of driving research innovations into AMD products. We are a global leader in the development of the world’s most advanced high-performance computers (HPC), such as Frontier, the world-leading 1.5 exaflop supercomputer. As part of AMD Research, you will have a role on a winning team that works closely with government and commercial customers along with internal product teams and partners to develop the hardware and software technologies of next generation computing platforms, accelerating AMD to have the world’s highest-performing products.
AMD Research seeks a Computer Science or Engineering graduate student to work on high-performance computer software and hardware. You will be responsible for developing innovations that feed into scaled-out systems incorporating a variety of current and emerging accelerators and tightly coupled CPUs. The work has the potential to directly impact the current production software stack as well as influence the direction of future hardware and software.
AMD Research nurtures and encourages all co-ops to file quality patents and publish at top-tier research venues out of their internship projects. Previous co-op engineers at AMD Research have gone on to publish the results of their work in major academic and industrial conferences, file patent disclosures for innovative ideas as well contribute to production code and hardware designs.
