Business Services Group Director (Manager III)
The Portland Water Bureau is seeking a Business Services Group Director to join its Executive Leadership Team and lead its Equity, Communications, and Organizational Development functions.
The Business Services Group Director is an executive leadership position that reports to the Water Bureau Director and is responsible for planning, organizing, and directing the work of the Business Services Work Group. As a key member of the executive leadership team, this position partners with the bureau director and peer group directors and managers to collectively identify and set bureau priorities, develop annual budgets, deliberate and decide on critical bureau policies, and help implement the bureau’s Strategic Plan (PDF available, follow link).
Your main roles will be managing the diverse internal and external-facing functions of the Business Services Work Group and participating as a bureau leader at the executive level. You will lead the bureau's organizational development, strategic planning, communications, and equity efforts in collaboration with key internal stakeholders. Decisions at the executive leadership level will set bureau-wide and city policy and will need to consider and address bureau and city core values.
