Senior Database Architect/Data Analyst 1

Applied Research Associates, Inc. is looking for candidates to join our Data Transformation of Foundational Military Intelligence (DTMI) team in Herndon, VA, where you will support our efforts by leading the analysis, design, implementation, testing, and deployment of the work leading up to and described in Task 6 and shall also ensure the activities undertaken in the other relevant Tasks support a well designed and implemented data environment. Utilizes the Government-provided conceptual data models, along with the results of the other DTMI Tasks, in order to derive the appropriate logical and physical data models required for the database design and implementation. 

Database Engineer Tools: PostgreSQL, MongoDB, S3, ElastiCache, SCT, DMS, Apache NiFi, AWS Data Pipeline, DIA’s Collaborative Operations & Development Environment (CODE)

Senior Database Architect/Data Analyst 1 Required Experience & Skills:
  • Due to the work you’ll perform and interactions with the intelligence community and DoD programs you need to currently hold a TS/SCI with CI Poly clearance
  • An MA/MS in Computer Science, Engineering, or Mathematics along with 8 or more years of experience
  • 8+ years experience with complex SQL queries, stored procedures, functions, and views; 3+ years experience with Sybase; 8+ years experience with SQL Server. A desire to work in a dynamic team environment
  • Experience in data management, creating, maintaining, and updating data records contained in the data catalog
  • AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner, Security+ Certification
