The Analytical and Spatial Intelligence Research Team (ASIRT) at Applied Research Associates, Inc. (ARA) is seeking algorithm engineers interested in acquiring, processing, and fusing signals for robotics, localization, and modeling applications. Junior Research Scientist – Interest in Signal Processing Position Highlights:

Junior Research Scientist – Interest in Signal Processing Required Experience & Skills:
- Due to the work, you’ll perform and interactions with DoD programs you will need to be a US citizen
- Bachelor of Science degree or above in a related discipline (Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, Robotics, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Systems Engineering, etc.) and 2+ years of experience involving signal processing
- Strong foundation in software development with experience in MATLAB or Python
- Proficiency in one of the following areas: mathematics, physics, robotics, sensor fusion, machine learning, computer vision or signal processing, with 2+ years relevant work experience
Junior Research Scientist – Interest in Signal Processing Desirable Experience & Skills:
- Experience working with IMUs, GPS, visual odometry, INS, ground or aerial vehicles, wearable sensors
- Experience implementing Kalman Filters, Particle Filters, Markov models, or graph analysis
- Experience with collaborative software development and version control
- Experience writing technical proposals
- Experience working on intelligence and DoD programs
