Intern - Customer Economic Development

The Alliant Energy Customer Community & Economic Development department is seeking a Customer Economic Development intern for Summer 2022 to conduct research efforts in supporting our customers. Successful candidates will be relationship-focused, have a passion for research and a track record of being self-motivated.

This is a great opportunity for an intern to live our company's purpose of serving customers and building strong communities. Our group is responsible for supporting our commercial and industrial customers with day to day questions and issues along with supporting growth plans and obtaining sustainability goals. This team also leads economic development and growth initiatives for our Wisconsin service territory. We partner with our communities and regional economic development associations to create growth opportunities in the communities we support. .  This position provides an opportunity to learn how integral reliable power is to our economy, and to work toward finding solutions to make power more reliable, efficient, and as cost effective as possible.

How do you use YOUR energy?? Alliant Energy is looking for a motivated sophomore, junior, or Master's student to serve customers and communities. In this exciting role, you will research customer segments and create economic growth opportunities to support our communities.

Alliant Energy is currently recruiting for exciting internship opportunities for Summer 2022!
  • Pay: Competitive wage earning between $15.50-$24.00/hour, dependent on experience, major, and year of schooling completed
  • Hours: 40 hours/week
  • Location: This position will be hybrid, working partially virtually with some days at the Madison General Office or traveling to different sites in Wisconsin.
