Tenure-Track, Rank Open Faculty; Data Analytics

The Department of Finance, Economics, & Data Analytics in the College of Business & Technology at the University of North Alabama invites applications for a tenure-track faculty position in Data Analytics, beginning in Fall of 2022. The review of candidates will focus on their research productivity/potential and teaching effectiveness/potential. Expertise in advanced regression, time-series, and data mining/data science is preferred. The successful candidate will have a willingness to work with students from diverse backgrounds in the classroom and in experiential learning opportunities. Candidates are expected to demonstrate research necessary for the college to meet current AACSB International accreditation standards. Salaries are competitive with other AACSB-accredited institutions, and the review of applications will begin immediately and continue until the position has been filled.

Responsibilities include teaching in-class and online undergraduate and graduate courses, and serving on dissertation committees as needed. Experience using Canvas, Blackboard, or other comparable learning management platforms is preferred. Minimum qualifications include: Doctorate in Statistics, Economics, or a related field from an accredited institution is required; ABD status applicants will be accepted, provided evidence of status and dissertation defense schedule indicates doctoral completion within six months; Preference will be given to candidates with a completed doctorate in Statistics/Data Analytics or Economics from an accredited institution; Expertise in advanced regression, time-series, and data mining/data science is preferred.
